Summer Fun

It's been a litte while since I last posted.  Here are a bunch of pictures showing some of the things we did this summer.

We went to the Miami Sequarium.

Andrew loved looking at the dolphins, the manatees, and the fish.

We went to the Vizcaya mansion and gardens.  Despite the heat and humidity, we enjoyed spending time at such a beautiful place.

We took a quick trip up to Orlando and had a great time at DisneyWorld.

We visited our family and friends in Utah.  Andrew really liked feeding the ducks and geese at Sugarhouse Park.  Sometimes, though, Andrew thought the bread was for him and would eat it himself.

Andrew loved playing with his Aunt Becky at the park.

We went up to the Cannon family cabin at Brighton.

We celebrated Andrew's 2nd birthday while we in Utah and had a great party at Aunt Carol's pool with our family and friends.

We were lucky enough to spend the day with Great-Grandma Cannon at her house while we were in Utah.  We played with toys, had lunch, and had a nice visit.

I took a short trip to California to visit Sara, Bryce, Adeline, and Blake.  Andrew had lots of fun playing with his cousins.

We also went hiking with my family up at Solitude.

When it came time to come back to Miami, we celebrated Andrew's birthday again with just the three of us.  We  had pizza, cake, Bluebell Ice Cream, and Andrew got some great presents.

Aunt Carol sent Andrew some Mickey Mouse sunglasses.  Andrew thought they were the best!

For Labor Day, we took a trip to Naples, Florida.  The weather was great and we had a fun time at the beach on the Gulf of Mexico and seeing the sights around town.

Spring Break and Clark's Birthday

A couple of weeks ago it was Clark's Spring Break.  He spent most of the week at work and studying, but we did manage to get out and do a few fun things.  We found this cool park in Coconut Grove that had a great playground for Andrew to play on as well as a fantastic view of the ocean.

We went on a bike ride through the Everglades and saw tons of huge alligators.

We had to strap Andrew into a seat attached to the back of one of the bikes.  He didn't really like it at first, but as soon as we started riding, he forgot about being upset and turned his attention to the alligators and birds.  All the fun wore him out and he fell asleep before the bike ride was over.

What's Spring Break without a trip to DisneyWorld.  We made a quick visit up to Orlando for a day and had a great time taking in everything the Magic Kingdom had to offer.
Andrew had a blast!
Even when we had to put a leash on him to keep him from running away and getting lost.
On Clark's birthday, we grilled up some flank steak, which is one of his favorite meals.
We made sure to end the day off with cake and presents.
We also went to the Sony Ericsson Open tennis tournament on Clark's birthday and had a great time.

Taking Pictures

A little while ago, I went to the lake on campus to try to take some pictures of Andrew to send to our parents for Valentine's Day. It didn't quite work out as planned because Andrew had a hard time looking at the camera. He mostly just wanted to look at the birds. I guess I should have know this would happen.

I gave up taking pictures at the lake and ended up just using a picture I took of Andrew on our couch. Sometimes, you just have to take what you can get.
