Fall Fun

Here are pictures of some of the fun activities we did this past Fall.

We went to a University of Miami Hurricanes Football game against Kansas State.  It was a lot of fun, except the Hurricanes lost on the last play of the game.

In October, during Fall Break, Clark's family came to visit and we had a great time with them.  Unfortunately, it rained a lot while they were in Miami, but we still had a good time going to the beach, the Vizcaya mansion, and just hanging out.  We were mostly just really happy to see Clark's family and spend time with them.
We also had a lot of fun going to DisneyWorld for a few days while Clark's family was in Florida.  We went to the Magic Kingdom, Hollywood Studios, and Epcot.  We stayed at a really neat hotel with four or five different pools and hot tubs that we all enjoyed playing in.

A few weeks later, Uncle Stan and Aunt Carol were in Orlando for a conference Stan was attending.  We couldn't pass up another opportunity to go to DisneyWorld and we were especially excited to see Carol and Stan and spend time with them.  We had a lot of fun going to the Animal Kingdom and Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party at the Magic Kingdom.  Andrew dressed up as a cowboy, with the inspiration for his costume being Woody from Toy Story.  My friend Megan Watson was so nice and helped me make Andrew's vest and Aunt Carol kindly contributed a Mickey cowboy hat, a toy gun, and a sherriff's badge to Andrew's costume.  We had tons of fun going around getting candy, which was handed out at different places all over the Magic Kingdom park.

We went to DisneyWorld yet again to celebrate Thanksgiving.  We had a Disney Thanksgiving dinner in the park at a Colonial themed restaurant called Liberty Tree Tavern.  We also took Andrew to see Santa Claus, who was visiting DisneyWorld while we were there.  Despite his reluctance to sit on Santa's lap, Andrew was really excited to see Santa.

In early December, we were lucky enough to have my cousin Mattie and her husband Josh come visit us from Connecticut while they were in Miami to go on a cruise.  Andrew absolutely loved Mattie and Josh and was so sad when they had to leave.  We had fun hanging out and going to the Everglades.  Mattie and Josh were also really nice and helped me in the Nursery at our church on Sunday.

Summer Fun

It's been a litte while since I last posted.  Here are a bunch of pictures showing some of the things we did this summer.

We went to the Miami Sequarium.

Andrew loved looking at the dolphins, the manatees, and the fish.

We went to the Vizcaya mansion and gardens.  Despite the heat and humidity, we enjoyed spending time at such a beautiful place.

We took a quick trip up to Orlando and had a great time at DisneyWorld.

We visited our family and friends in Utah.  Andrew really liked feeding the ducks and geese at Sugarhouse Park.  Sometimes, though, Andrew thought the bread was for him and would eat it himself.

Andrew loved playing with his Aunt Becky at the park.

We went up to the Cannon family cabin at Brighton.

We celebrated Andrew's 2nd birthday while we in Utah and had a great party at Aunt Carol's pool with our family and friends.

We were lucky enough to spend the day with Great-Grandma Cannon at her house while we were in Utah.  We played with toys, had lunch, and had a nice visit.

I took a short trip to California to visit Sara, Bryce, Adeline, and Blake.  Andrew had lots of fun playing with his cousins.

We also went hiking with my family up at Solitude.

When it came time to come back to Miami, we celebrated Andrew's birthday again with just the three of us.  We  had pizza, cake, Bluebell Ice Cream, and Andrew got some great presents.

Aunt Carol sent Andrew some Mickey Mouse sunglasses.  Andrew thought they were the best!

For Labor Day, we took a trip to Naples, Florida.  The weather was great and we had a fun time at the beach on the Gulf of Mexico and seeing the sights around town.
